If you live in the UK then you have many options available to you. Airliners such as British Airways (BA), Virgin, Gulf Air (Abu Dhabi), Etihad and Emirates Airlines along with many other go to Dubai and the Unites Arab Emirates (UAE). The region is seen as a short-break destination since it is only 6 hours flight from the UK and flights leave airports such as London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted daily. You can book and purchase cheap flights to Dubai if you do this well in advance as is the case with booking any holiday. It is not uncommon to book flights in excess of six months in advance as accommodation in Dubai can filled up very quickly. If you want to take your chances then you may be able to find a cheap flight by booking a late deal. It is only advisable to book a flight separately if you have booked hotel accommodation already since hotels in Dubai tend to always be full due to a shortage of supply.

A flight to Dubai needn’t be expensive with most of the airlines offering a great service as well as in flight entertainment having improved leaps and bounds from a few years go. Once you check in to the airport, it may be worth asking how full the plane is, if its not then you could always try and see if you can push for an upgrade to business class for free or at least at a cheaper rate. If you have a disability or have children, you can also ask for ‘exit seats’ when you check in so you have more room, this is solely at the discretion of the airline and obviously if there is enough room on the plane.

Before you travel, it may be worth reading the travel information so you are aware of Visa any requirements etc.
